No Overseas Hallmarking for London

Following the move of the Birmingham Assay Office to open a Mumbai sub-division, the London Assay Office has spoken out and refuses to debase the value of the UK hallmarking system. It has stated that should they ever decide to allow overseas marking, they would employ a different town mark to the centuries old leopard.
